MORRO DOS CAMPEÓES
As part of our MMA camps in Rio, led by Daniel Woirin, we proudly support an existing social project « Morro dos Campeoes” in the Santo Amaro favela, led by Daniel « Pirata » Malvino – former coach of the Brazilian Wrestling National Team and wrestling coach at Nova União (a renowned MMA club in Rio de Janeiro). Through this initiative, combat sports serve as a bridge for cultural exchange, awareness, and empowerment of local youth.
An Afternoon of Sharing
• Immersion and Awareness: MMA camp participants, alongside Daniel « Pirata » Malvino, spend an afternoon engaging with the youth of the Maria favela. The goal is to introduce participants to the daily realities of these young individuals and raise awareness about their challenges.
• Cultural Exchange: This initiative offers local youth who often lack opportunities to travel a chance to interact with people from different cultures and backgrounds, fostering connection and mutual learning.
Financial and Material Support
• Equipment Donations: Providing essential training gear to ensure young athletes can practice combat sports in optimal conditions.
• Financial Assistance: Supporting Daniel Pirata’s project by contributing to the facility, helping sustain a safe and encouraging environment for personal and athletic development.
Ongoing Commitment
A Visit at Every Camp: With 4 MMA camps planned annually, these visits have become a recurring and integral part of our program, reinforcing our commitment to Daniel Pirata’s work and strengthening the bond between participants and the local community.
